Power of Love
by Yella Werder

SPIRIT

When I was in the process of writing and recording this album, my life was teetering with uncertainty in many areas. I did not realize until I was introduced to Gangaji and her teaching, that this song I wrote was a prayer for a teacher. I suspect that Gangaji comes as an answer to many prayers, but I didn’t know I had made the request until that first, jaw dropping moment of hearing her voice and her message of freedom. The expression rolled over and over in my mind: When the student is ready, the teacher appears.

POWER OF LOVE

I was working as a Music Director for a non-denominational church and realized the music we were offering for the congregation to sing did not really deliver the message that was intended.  So I started writing a simple little tune and it hit the spot. I love the rich harmony in this song. And I am grateful to the core that Papaji and Gangaji taught me how to truly feel the Power of Love.

SMALL GREEN ISLAND

This beautiful song was written by Garnett Hundley and recorded by Susan Osborn with Phil Markowitz. I could feel the sentiment down to my bones when I first heard it and knew I just had to sing it and record it. I hope You enjoy these songs as we spin round and round in space together on this Small Green Island.

Only Love Here, Yella

“This is your resting place, your watering hole. Find what supports you, what includes you, and drink it in. Be nourished. Be enlivened. And when you feel thirsty again, drink some more.” —Gangaji
