Ashland 5-Day Silent Retreat

A silent retreat is an opportunity to step away from your usual activities and bring your full attention to the truth of your being.

“When you turn toward this supposed entity called "I" you will find only silent awareness. Take refuge in that.”

With the support of Gangaji and other participants, during this 5-day silent retreat you can embark on a deep inner dive of self-discovery. This is the gift of retreat.

With Self-Inquiry, Gangaji will guide and support you throughout the retreat in turning your attention away from your thoughts and into the direct experience of what is always here - peace itself, consciousness itself.

In Daily Meetings with Gangaji, your questions and reports are welcome and essential to the vitality of the retreat.

This retreat will be held in conversational silence. Gangaji will speak to this at the start of the retreat. Our time together may also include silent meditation and video presentations.

COVID-19 Information

We are always concerned with the well-being of all participants at Gangaji’s in-person events. We have yet to determine if we will require proof of a negative COVID-19 test or if we will ask participants to mask indoors during these meetings. 

The decisions around COVID policies will be made closer to the event and based on current conditions. Proof of vaccination will not be required at any event. If you have any questions, please write to us at info@gangaji.org
Check in and Meeting Schedule

The schedule for this retreat includes 2 meetings a day with Gangaji lasting approximately 90 minutes. In additional other activities may include meditation, videos or other events.

In the time between our sessions, Gangaji offers you her support in resting deeply, retreating from your daily life into the core of your being, and spending time in nature.

Cancellation Info

If you need to cancel your registration please email us at info@gangaji.org or call our office, 541-482-3100, ext. 221 and leave a message. If you cancel on or before September 22, your payment will be refunded minus $50. If you cancel after September 22, your full payment is non-refundable. If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19, all fees will be refunded.

Scholarship Info

The scholarship applications for this event are open between September 3, 2024 and August 18, 2025. Notifications to the chosen applicants will be sent out on August 27, 2025.

The Retreat will be held in downtown Ashland, close to many local inns, hotels, and restaurants. Limited street parking is available locally.

Airport and Transportation: Ashland is a 25-30 minute drive from the Medford Airport. See more info on shuttles, taxis, and other local transportation.

Ride Sharing: After you register you will have access to a ride share board if you need or can offer a ride to or from Ashland.

Being at the Retreat with everyone and Gangaji was life changing for me. Back home, life is, well…life— simple and yet spacious and real.
